Special Notes:
Include instructions naming your funeral agent in your will or in your advanced medical directive.  You can also write a statement authorizing someone other than your next of kin to be your funeral agent (Statement of Contrary Intent).  If you sign documents donating your body for medical research when you die, that intention is legally binding and cannot be overturned by your next-of-kin.
